    We are in search of an Electrical/Computer Engineer to help us design, analyze, test and deploy pioneering electrical and electromechanical systems.

    As a valued member of our team, you will contribute to exciting projects that support the US Department of Defense and NASA.

    You will collaborate with engineering gurus who have a real passion for working with powerful electrical engineering tools and advancing our country's capabilities.

    As an Electrical/Computer Engineer...
    Your primary focus will be designing embedded electronics, encompassing both hardware and software, and engineering entire systems.

    In coordination with team members with a variety of expertise, you will capture the requirements, design circuits, select components, and validate your work through modeling and simulation.

    You'll showcase your work during design reviews and produce essential documentation to facilitate the fabrication and operation of your designs.

    Testing at different stages and leading the integration of your embedded electronics into the larger system will be part of your role.

    Occasionally, you will have the opportunity to travel to the field to coordinate the deployment of your work.
    Evaluating system performance and communicating outcomes to team members and government partners through reports will be crucial.

    Your innovative solutions to our country's most challenging problems will be highly sought after, and brainstorming will be a regular part of your job.

    Qualifications

    To be considered for this position, you should meet our minimum qualifications, including:
    Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
    1+ year experience in embedded hardware and software development, as well as the design and testing of hardware/software systems.

    3+ years hands on experience designing and prototyping electronic circuitry that employs FPGAs, DSP processors, microcontrollers, sensors, and power supplies.

    Proficiency in C, C++, and VHDL or Verilog, along with familiarity with modeling and simulation tools like SPICE, MATLAB/SIMULINK.
    Knowledge of test and measurement equipment used in electronic systems.
    Excellent communication skills, the ability to document and publish designs and results, and effective multitasking abilities.
    Willingness and ability to occasionally travel to attend meetings or tests at other government and contractor sites.
    Comfort working in closed area facilities.
    Are able to obtain Secret level security clearance.

    If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information.

    Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

    While meeting the minimum requirements is essential, going above and beyond will set you apart.

    We highly value candidates who possess:
    A Masters' of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
    Experience with Linux and real time operating systems.
    Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, and Digital Signal Processing.
    Ability to design and simulate analog circuits.
    Familiarity with low-power microcontrollers, including ARM processors.
