Registered Nurse (RN) Requirements
Experience: 2+ years of recent Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) experience
Licensure:
Active
RN license in good standing (state license requirements apply)
Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, NIH
Skills:
Telemetry competency required (telemetry
RN experience preferred)
Traveler Friendly:
First-time travel nurses welcome
Med/Surg
RN Responsibilities
Provide safe, high-quality patient care to a general medical/surgical patient population
Monitor and interpret telemetry, promptly recognizing and escalating changes in patient condition
Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform focused nursing assessments aligned with unit standards
Collaborate with hospitalists and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate plans of care
Document accurately and efficiently in Epic (EMR)
Support patient and family education, discharge planning, and transitions of care
Work effectively with unit support resources including patient-free charge nurse, LPN support, RT, phlebotomy, and centralized telemetry monitoring
