- Analyze and design efficient production processes for manufacturing systems.
- Develop and implement process improvements to reduce production time, cost, and waste.
- Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, procedures, and flowcharts.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to ensure proper integration of new methods into existing systems.
- Conduct time studies, process optimization, and line balancing to enhance productivity.
- Identify potential issues or bottlenecks in production and propose corrective actions.
- Develop and support the introduction of new tools, technologies, and equipment to improve production processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
- Assist in the design and layout of production lines, workstations, and facilities.
- Conduct root cause analysis for problems related to manufacturing efficiency or quality.
- Provide training and support to operators and production staff on new methods or procedures.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, cost reduction, and product quality.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, ideally as a Methods Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of production processes, lean manufacturing principles, and process improvement techniques (such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.).
- Experience with process mapping, time studies, and work measurement.
- Proficient in using CAD software, manufacturing simulation tools, and ERP systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in aerospace and defense industry
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies, automation, and robotics.
- Full-time, on-site role with occasional travel to production sites or vendor locations.
- May involve standing or walking for extended periods in manufacturing environments.
