    Responsibilities / Tasks

    • Balancing of new or used centrifuge rotating assemblies as described in technical documents such as drawings, technical bulletins or written instructions.
    • Performs safety run on bowls as required
    • Checks the correct functioning of the bowl's hydraulic system.
    • Disassembles and re-assembles bowl assemblies and checks repeatability of balance values
    • Troubleshoots bowl assemblies with functional or balance repeatability issues
    • Maintains records of all balanced bowls
    • Maintains a clean and organized work environment. Follows all applicable QHSE rules and regulatory requirements
    • Fulfills additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
    Your Profile / Qualifications
    • High School degree or equivalent
    • 5 year work experience as Industrial Equipment Mechanic, Millwright or related field.
    • Able to read and interpret drawings
    • Reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, inspection reports, procedures and manuals. Able to write reports.
    • 3 to 5 years' experience in the repair and maintenance of precision machinery, preferably high-speed rotating equipment
    • Good analytical skills
    • Experience working in the metric system, including use of metric measuring tools and reading / understanding of metric drawings.
    • Experience in evaluating and identifying part failures such as corrosion, erosion, cavitation or fatigue in stainless steel parts.
    • Detail oriented, self-motivated, dependable and able to work with little direction.
    • Adaptable to changing work demands and desire to learn new skills.
    • Good social skills and able to work in a team.
