    THE ROLE: Thomas James Homes is looking for a skilled Senior Financial Analyst to support our Corporate Division located in Aliso Viejo, CA. The Sr. Financial Analyst leads the financial planning and budgeting processes at TJH and goes beyond the task of reporting data to deliver impactful financial analysis and insightful financial models to Corporate and Divisional leadership teams. This role will deliver weekly reporting, support monthly and quarterly rolling forecasts, along with the annual budgeting processes. This position works across the business to report on and monitor trends in key drivers of operational success, produce plan vs actual reporting, and support the creation and presentation of financial models and analyses.

    DAY IN THE LIFE:

    • Heavy involvement in weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting packages, including operations forecasting, financial ratio projections, scenario modeling, and sensitivity analysis.
    • Coordinate monthly forecasting process for Divisional Finance teams; assist in the completion of budgeting processes and business plan variance analysis.
    • Support the financial planning, analysis, and data integrity of the Company, involving collaboration with Divisional Operations and Finance teams to accurately consolidate financial data for executive reporting, presentations, and analysis.
    • Assist on process improvement initiatives related to software implementation and Power BI platform development.
    • Prepare presentation materials and supplemental analysis for Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to deliver in quarterly Board of Directors meetings.
    • Build financial models and supplemental analysis to support strategic initiatives.
    • Maintains extensive knowledge of TJH data sources and data structure to ensure data integrity used in analysis.
    • Ad-hoc reporting as needed by ELT and Management.

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

    • B.S. degree in finance, accounting, or similar business field
    • 3+ years in a finance/accounting or similar technical role (preferred)
    • Advanced Excel financial modeling skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Candidates with strong data analytics and BI experience preferred (Power BI)
    • Profound understanding of financial and operational data
    • Comprehensive understanding of financial statements with exceptional quantitative problem-solving abilities
    • Experience with Vena is a plus
    • Proficiency with MDX (Multidimensional Expressions) a plus
