    Who we are looking for

    Global Cybersecurity (GCS) protects State Street and its clients from the impact of cyber-attacks against systems by understanding the risks these attacks present and mitigating them through a robust, continuously evolving, cybersecurity program and control environment.

    Cyber Architecture & Engineering (Cyber A&E) is one of five functions that make up GCS. Cyber A&E designs, architects, deploys, and continually enhances security measures for the protection of State Street's information related to its assets and customers.

    This Lead Infrastructure Security Architect will sit in the Integrated Defensive Engineering & Architecture sub-function in Cyber A&E. This role is responsible for overall design, build and implementation of secure infrastructure to protect our organization's data and systems. Other responsibility areas are listed below.

    What you will be responsible for

    As Infrastructure Security Architect you will
    • Develop a comprehensive security strategy for VDI environments ensuring secure access and data protection.
    • Design and implement security policies, robust access control and authentication protocols with VDI environment addressing both infrastructure and endpoint security concerns.
    • Partner with IT & GCS sub-functional teams to develop and implement security hardening policies & maturity specific to OS/Virtual Infrastructure in diverse environments.
    • Develop and enforce endpoint security policies for devices accessing the VDI.
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Regularly review and conduct risk assessments, VDI security audits to identify potential security gaps and recommend enhancements for continuous improvements to stay aligned with vendor best practices including latest CIS and NIST recommendations as appropriate.
    • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments addressing any risks associated with timely mitigation plans.
    • Evaluate new security technologies and tools ensuring alignment with current trends and evolving threats. Keep abreast of developments in endpoint detection & response, application allow listing methods and technologies.
    • Partner with State Street and affiliates teams to ensure unified approach to infrastructure security and provide guidance and best practices.
    • Partner with fusion teams as needed to assist in incident response activities and investigations related to VDI security issues.

    These skills will help you succeed in this role
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in enterprise security architecture and engineering.
    • Proven experience in securing VDI environments and managing VDI infrastructure.
    • Advanced understanding and experience with hardening different OS, virtual infrastructure & applications such as windows, linux, VMware ESXi, Nutanix, Citrix.
    • Experience with regulatory compliance requirements such as FFIEC, GDPR, etc.
    • Good knowledge and understanding of working with IAC automation tools like chef, anisble, terraform, etc.
    • Experience with endpoint hardening and implementing security controls such as application allowlisting, blocklisting.
    • Experience with enterprise endpoint device management & configuration management tools such as Intune, JAMF, SCCM, GPO would be beneficial.
    • Experience in Security domains such as Identity Security, Network Security, Email Security and SIEM.
    • Experience operating within public environment such as AWS, Azure, OCI environments.
    • Experience with email security would be a plus.
    • Excellent verbal, written and collaborative interpersonal communication skills.
    Education & Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field.
    • Professional certifications such as SANS/GIAC certifications is highly desirable.

    Salary Range:
    $120,000 - $202,500 Annual

    The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
