Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred. Graduate of an accredited perfusion program
- Certified, or certification eligible by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion. Licensed, or licensure eligible in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

Responsibilities
- -Under the direct supervision of department leadership actively ensures adequate coverage for all cardiac surgical and cell saving procedures
- -Call (30-minute radius) and additional services outside normal working hours
- -Complete the Pre-bypass checklist prior to cardiopulmonary bypass to ensure that the appropriate resources are available and in satisfactory condition for the surgery/li>-Review the patient's chart prior to surgery to better anticipate peri-operative and post-operative problems./li+-At the discretion of the surgeon initiates and terminates extracorporeal circulation./li-
