How You Will Make a Difference:

As a new Manufacturing Project Manager at ATC Automation, you will be expected to oversee a variety of custom automation projects daily. Your primary responsibilities will include managing timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful project execution in the automation sector. You will regularly collaborate with engineers and customers, facilitating communication and aligning project goals with customer needs. In addition, you will conduct regular status meetings, providing updates and addressing any issues that may arise. You'll also be responsible for identifying risks and implementing solutions, ensuring projects remain on track and uphold our commitment to excellence.

Your role will require a proactive approach to problem-solving, as well as a strong focus on project management methodologies to drive continuous improvement in our processes.

To excel as a Manufacturing Project Manager at ATC Automation, a combination of technical and soft skills is essential. A PMP Certification is preferred to demonstrate your proficiency in project management principles and methodologies. A Bachelor's Degree in engineering, management, or a related field is crucial for understanding the technical aspects of custom automation. Strong communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Additionally, you should possess excellent problem-solving abilities to navigate challenges and ensure project goals align with customer expectations. Proficiency in project management software, such as MS Project or similar tools, is also important for tracking progress and managing resources efficiently. Finally, a high level of integrity and a customer-focused mindset will be vital in maintaining ATC Automation's commitment to excellence and innovation.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Manufacturing Project Management experience including an understanding in project management methodologies

Experience managing interdisciplinary teams

Strong leadership skills

Excellent problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent note keeping and organization skills

Broad knowledge of engineering and production processes and industry best practices

Experience interfacing and managing customers

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

PMP Certification

Bachelor's Degree

Experience in custom automation and machine building

Familiarity with controls and software concepts

3+ years in a Manufacturing Project Management role

Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Project PWA

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Lift and move objects weighing:

Up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Up to 25 lbs frequently.

Up to 10 lbs constantly.

Use hands and fingers to handle or feel materials and tools.

Ability to bend, push, pull, and reach overhead.
