SENIOR BUYER

JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Buyer is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Buying Team. This position will also be responsible for purchasing stocking items, non-stocking items, and raw materials.

The Senior Buyer will play a key role in communicating order information within the organization and entering and sending orders to vendors.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Delivery timing as established during the sourcing process and program requirements.
Preparing and processing requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of goods, services and supplies.
Provide support to the Purchasing Director and the team.
Process all purchase orders, including entering into the procurement system for all assigned categories.

Match orders with vendors:
Confirm cost, ship dates, addresses etc.
Follow up with vendors.
Create and maintain item records in retail point of sale system for all assigned categories.
Maintain purchase order tracking sheets.
Complete daily activities in purchasing.
All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or another related field.
3-5 years' experience working in a Purchasing role.

TRAVEL:

Travel Required:
Yes, 30% minimum.

Launch Support:

The Senior Buyer will be required to be on site during program launch activity at any/all plants, as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Excellent analytical abilities with ability to review facts and weigh options when solving problems and making decisions.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities with the ability to negotiate.
Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
Microsoft Word and Excel skills preferred.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
