    Job Description SummaryThe Lead Development Quality Assurance (DQA) Engineer conducts independent assessment of engineering compliance to systems, rules, and processes to ensure fulfillment of internal and external requirements.

    They will ensure that projects and products are capable and will meet applicable standards and requirements.

    The Lead DQA Engineer has a comprehensive in-depth understanding of industry and regulatory requirements, standards, and practices in aerospace systems, software, and hardware.

    Job DescriptionEssential Functions and ResponsibilitiesAssure that products developed by GE Aerospace are the result of suitable, rigorous, and structured processesConduct assessments / audits of engineering development activities to gauge compliance with applicable regulatory, industrial, and company standards including, but not limited to:
    RTCA / DO-178B/CRTCA / DO-254MIL
    • HDBK 516SAE ARP4754AReview technical documentation with a view to Quality and Compliance requirementsGenerate Quality Assurance plans and work instructions for execution of Quality Assurance functionsConduct root cause / corrective action investigations using appropriate proceduresProvide regular and thorough status reports and data to leadershipEnsure Quality records are maintained, metrics collected, and reports given back to the businessInterface with customers, suppliers and regulatory authoritiesProvide technical guidance, mentoring and training to quality processes and requirementsGenerate and maintain objective evidence of assessment activities for customer and regulatory reviewQualifications and Requirements Bachelor of Science in engineering from an accredited university or collegeAt least 3 years of experience in engineering, quality, process assurance or complianceDesired Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systemsAbility to coordinate several projects simultaneouslyEmbedded Controls ExperienceSolid oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsAbility to gain US Government ClearanceThis role requires access to U.
