    Job Summary

    As the Director of Addiction Medicine you will be responsible for the oversight and delivery of quality medical assessment, treatment and referral services to all patients. In addition, is expected to function as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team.

    Essential Duties Include:
    • Patient Care
      • Perform medical histories and physical examinations on all patients upon admission but not later than 24 hours after admission.
      • Advise the Executive Director on medical problems and on questions of policy and public relations as they relate to medical practice.
      • Evaluates patients medical appropriateness at discharge.
      • Provide for 24-hour medical coverage for the facility including emergency consultation by telephone.
      • Maintains a liaison with referring parties / agencies, physicians, psychiatrists, and hospitals to assure that appropriate medical care is continued through treatment and post-discharge.
      • Responsible for maintaining the quality of medical care within the treatment center. Shall have the authority to intervene in the medical care of any patient in the interest of the patient and to maintain the professional standards of the facility.
    • Leadership
      • Provide oversight to primary care providers and family nurse practitioners
    • Documentation
      • Documents all patient services provided including; physical examinations, comprehensive medical histories, medical orders, follow-up examinations, discharge physical examinations and discharge summaries, maintain compliance with company policies and procedures
    Education, Skills and Experience Requirements:
    • Doctoral degree from an approved college or university in a Behavioral Health or related field.
    • M.D/D.O degree required
    • At least 5 years of experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
    • Must have board certification or be board eligible.
    • Must be able to offer fellowship training as needed.
    • License in good standing to practice in the state of posting.
    • DEA number with buprenorphine certification
    • Meets active staff credentialing requirements.
