- The coordination, planning, and organization of Medicaid resources in support of systems development.
- Working with resources from both the Office of Application Technology Services (OATS) and the Office of Data Analytics (ODA).
- Ensure the technologies employed by the development team work effectively together and by client and COT IT policies and procedures.
- Monitor and track project risks, issues, and schedules.
- Initiate, coordinate, and document meetings with stakeholders.
- Create and execute project work plans and revise them as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Track and report team project status to sponsor(s) and stakeholders every week, or as needed.
- Create, facilitate, and maintain a cooperative team structure.
- Facilitate team and client meetings effectively.
- Keep project team well-informed of changes in project status, through regular status meetings and/or other methods.
- Convey engaging, informative, and well-organized presentations.
- Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
- Bachelor's Degree or other advanced degree, preferably in an IT-related field.
- Must have experience managing large-scale, complex IT projects, preferably experience developing and implementing from start to finish.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or other similar certification is preferred, but not required.
- Proven track record of successfully managing IT projects and collaborating across a wide array of business units and IT teams, including, but not limited to, managing issues, scope, quality, escalations, and risks.
- Experience in the management of contracts for large-scale IT projects.
- Prior IT work experience and knowledge of the healthcare industry, preferably healthcare data systems or Medicaid.
- Proficiency in Microsoft products, i.e., Project, Word, Excel, and SharePoint. Experience in Visio and Azure DevOps is preferred but not required.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly, especially to non-technical business partners.
