ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a strong and experienced Product Manager to join our team.
As a Senior Technical Product manager you will shape Bright Machines' vision on bringing automation principles to server design.
We are looking for someone who can be a product leader and work with our systems, mechanical, robotics and perception engineering teams to define our first software product offering for mechanical design.
If you have worked on building Digital Twins of real world products, we would like to talk to you This is a cross-functional role, and the Product Manager is expected to work closely with different teams including Sales, Marketing, and Field Services.
We are looking for a senior and experienced person to lead this activity, the role will be defined as a staff or principal level for the right candidate.
It is a unique opportunity to join one of the hottest AI/Machine Learning and Robotics startups and build from the ground up, a product that can transform one of the largest sectors in the economy.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Define our Design for Automated Assembly (DFAA) product, perform market research on product/market fit
Determine TAM & SAM for the product
Fully understand the exciting new world of digital twins and bring that knowledge to the team, inform the product definition and extend to Bright Machines' automation expertise
Define the product roadmap and lead discussions with both internal and external stakeholders and customers
Manage the entire requirements process:
Gather and prioritize requirements, write detailed requirements documents, and work with the mechanical design team to improve current gen and next gen designs for our hardware products
Work with market analysts, device manufacturers, hardware design teams and use data from market research to understand and educate the organization on the server market trends and future products
Manage product launches and work hand in hand with our GTM teams
Work with program and delivery teams to understand market needs and define future products
Interface with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of quality products on time and according to specifications
Evaluate new applications, use cases, proofs-of-concept and prioritize hardware product roadmap in a data-driven manner
Ensure successful adoption of functionality at customer deployments
Provide ongoing support and guidance to the sales and field operations teams
Travel up to 30% of the time is required
WHAT WE WANT TO SEE
Mechanical engineering and/or mechanical design background
Experience in hardware product lifecycles, specifically computer server design processes and NTI/NPI processes.
Relevant experience in DFAA and/or DFx
Relevant experience taking Digital Twin products to market
Proven experience in a product management role of complex hardware systems and industrial robotics
Working in a matrix environment:
collaboration with R&D, systems engineering and field support
Bachelor of Science ( B.S
.) in Mechanical Engineering degree
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAD
Strong Experience in designing servers and computer hardware
Strong Experience in the mechanical assembly process and automation
Working level knowledge of Nvidia Omniverse
Understanding of factory KPIs and practical experience driving their improvement
Understanding of manufacturing logistics
$165,000 - $230,000 a year
