    Seahawk Services in Paulsboro, NJ is looking for one chief operating officer to join our team. We are located on 1501 Grandview Ave. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and engaged.

    As the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Seahawk Services, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the company's operational functions and driving strategic initiatives to ensure operational excellence and business growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for optimizing operational efficiency, enhancing service quality, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement strategic operational plans that align with the company's overall objectives and growth targets.
    • Oversee all operational activities including vessel scheduling, port operations, crew logistics, and supply chain management.
    • Collaborate with senior management to define and execute business strategies that enhance Seahawk Services' competitive position in the maritime industry.
    • Drive operational efficiency by streamlining processes, optimizing resource allocation, and implementing best practices.
    • Lead and mentor a high-performing team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure employee engagement and productivity.
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure operational performance, analyze data, and implement corrective actions as needed.
    • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging team members to identify and implement operational enhancements and cost-saving initiatives.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies across all operational activities.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including clients, vendors, and regulatory authorities to enhance service delivery and business partnerships.
    • Prepare and present operational reports, budgets, and forecasts to the executive team and board of directors.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
    • Proven experience (8+ years) in a senior operational leadership role within the maritime, shipping, or logistics industry.
    • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive business initiatives and achieve operational objectives.
    • Excellent leadership and people management skills with a track record of building and leading high-performance teams.
    • Deep understanding of maritime operations, vessel management, crew logistics, and supply chain management practices.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
    • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis, performance metrics, and operational reporting.
    • Strong business acumen and financial literacy, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
    • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
