    CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE (CSR)

    Department: Operations | Reports to: Hospital Administrator | Non-Exempt |

    The Customer Service Representative actively recruits new clients and promotes hospital services, scheduling client visits and driving the flow of clients and pets through the hospital. Ensuring good communication with the clients and coordinating the care of the pets, they influence clients to return and refer their friends and families.

    We are seeking an individual who embodies our values: Respect, Learning, Do the Right Thing, WOW Service, and Fun. The ideal candidate will maintain knowledge of the services provided by the hospital and utilize this information to promote its services and products to existing and prospective customers.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Foster a culture built on our core values.
    • Welcome and educate clients about preventative care and pet health needs.
    • Direct the flow of clients and pets to ensure superior client care and maximum productivity of the veterinary medical team.
    • Schedule appointments and follow-up exams.
    • Assist outgoing clients by providing necessary instructions, information, and invoices.
    • Dispense prescription items per the Veterinarian's instructions and sell retail products.
    • Manage cash transactions and reconcile the cash drawer daily.
    • Respond to customer complaints professionally and resolve issues satisfactorily.

    Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • 1+ years experience in retail sales or customer service preferred.

    Physical Demands:

    This position requires standing for long periods, bending, reaching, grasping, and repetitive motions. May be exposed to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, pets dander, and excretions. This position is exposed to low to moderate noise levels. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. unassisted, 50 lbs. with assistance.

    Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year.
