    JOB SUMMARY

    The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Cherrelyn Healthcare Center provides direct resident care and assists with general nursing care tasks under the supervision of a licensed nurse. This individual will perform various duties related to the promotion of a healthy lifestyle for the assigned residents. The CNA will carry out duties in accordance with the established policies and procedures, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

    Cherrelyn Healthcare Center, a Stellar Senior Living Community, is a 176-bed skilled nursing facility located in Littleton, CO. We have been operating for over 50 years and are looking for an individual to continue the tradition of the best in care for our residents.

    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

    This position is compensated hourly at a rate of between $19 and $24.07 per hour, and is paid on a bi-weekly basis. Cherrelyn Healthcare Center also offers a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401K and more.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist with personal hygiene for residents such as bathing, grooming, haircuts, and dressing.

    • Assist with ambulation, including the use of wheelchairs and walking aides as necessary.

    • Monitor and assist with the administration of medication and treatments.

    • Assist with activities of daily living such as grocery shopping, transportation, and recreational activities.

    • Monitor vital signs such as pulse, temperature, respirations, and other vital signs, under the direction of a licensed nurse.

    • Maintain the cleanliness of residents' apartments and the clinical areas within the healthcare center.

    • Keep accurate and complete records of residents' care, including the recording and documentation of vital signs and other clinical information.

    • Report any changes in physical and mental behaviors to the nursing supervisor.

    • Provide emotional support to residents as needed and respond to emergencies in a timely and effective manner.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • High school diploma or GED

    • Valid CNA certification in the State of Colorado

    • Minimum of one year experience in a related healthcare field

    • Excellent communication and organizational skills

    • Ability to work collaboratively

    • Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds

    • Ability to stand, bend, and/or sit for extended periods of time as necessary

    • Positive attitude and passion for helping others
