is a sports, leisure, wellness and entertainment venue with 16 tennis courts, 14 outdoor turf fields, a 6000+ person capacity amphitheater, an 8-lane indoor competition pool, an outdoor water park, playgrounds, an RV park, and a 103,000-square-foot community recreation center that will include hardwood courts, a 2-story fitness center, concessions, locker rooms and conference/party rooms.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Cook will provide quality service as well as consistent products. This position will assist the Concessions Team with the prep, shift needs, and daily upkeep of the park's concessions locations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Directly align with the Sand Mountain Park & Amphitheater Mission Statement and Core Values
Cook and prepare food
Serves food in proper pre-determined portion sizes and at the correct temperature
Maintains appearance of all equipment and serving counters
Maintains inventory in the stock room
Cleans kitchen area before and after shifts, and during shifts as needed
Scrubs, sanitizes, and stores pots and pans, utensils, and dishes
Performs other related duties as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Understand and follow both oral and written instructions
Must be available on weekends, nights, and some weekdays
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Effective time management skills
Prior experience in food industry preferred
ServeSafe Certification is preferred but not required
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Able to tolerate extreme temperatures
Significant standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling
