    Our client, a leading chemical company, has immediate openings for a Supply Chain Assistant at their Attapulgus, GA site.

    This is a contract role currently budgeted for 12 months with the possibility of an extension or direct hire. Benefits available. The pay Rate is $27.00 hourly.

    Description:

    The Supply Chain Assistant will provide crucial administrative and clerical support to meet site objectives efficiently. Duties may extend to additional tasks such as cycle counting, forklift operation in the warehouse as required, and coordination with the operations department. Working closely with the Supply Chain Manager and Supply Chain Planners, the incumbent ensures documentation and materials are readily available for production.

    Principal Responsibilities:

    • Provide daily administrative support, including generating various reports using Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP.
    • Conduct inventory reviews and facilitate cycle counts.
    • Review packaging requirements, including artwork and labeling, and update requisition templates and master data as needed.
    • Manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities in supply chain and logistics.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
    • Adhere to site safety rules and promote compliance while performing job duties.
    • Perform other assigned work-related duties.

    This position will require some weekends. The last 3 days of each month will need to be reserved for month end closing duties.
    This position will include responsibilities in all areas of Supply Chain.

    Required Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma.
    • 3-5 years of administrative and/or logistics experience.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong emphasis on customer service.
    • Detail-oriented, with the ability to interpret company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
    • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Proficiency in SAP platforms, particularly in procurement and logistics functions, and familiarity with Lotus Notes.
    • Strong data analysis skills.
    • Experience in shipping and receiving.
    • Previous exposure to working in a 5S and safety-conscious environment.
