    Overview

    THE FIRMis looking for an individual to join our Accounting and Assurance Department. Qualified candidates will be career-oriented individuals possessing strong accounting and organization skills and have for-profit and/or nonprofit experience. The candidate should desire to develop accounting and assurance technical, business consulting and other professional skills.


    Experience

    2-5 years of experience in public accounting


    Responsibilities


    Responsible for assigned segments of engagements under the supervision of experienced personnel, plan and help assist with attestation engagements, reconciliations and analysis of accounts, communication with clients and ability to travel locally.

    Organize and clearly document work papers and conclusions.

    Technical skills - Familiarize with engagement flow from planning through report issuance. Develop a command of generally accepted accounting principles, internal audit areas and procedures, and other regulatory areas and requirements. Possess a thorough understanding of professional standards, generally accepted auditing standards and common audit procedures and techniques.

    Other required skills - Solid written and oral communication abilities, multi-tasking, prioritizing and organizational skills. Focus on providing superior client service.


    Education

    Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (150 credits)


    Designations

    CPA or working towards license


    Software experience (preferred products)
