Job Summary
PLA Supply Chain Services is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of production equipment across our facility — keeping operations safe, efficient, and running without interruption. What You'll Be Doing
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections on production equipment and facility systems
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and structural issues and recommend repair solutions
- Repair, replace, or assemble equipment components to ensure reliable operation
- Disassemble, clean, and reinstall machinery parts as needed to maintain functionality
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation per company standards
- Promote and follow all company safety policies and regulatory requirements
- Communicate equipment repair needs and parts requirements to leadership
- Coordinate repairs for leased equipment or trucks with vendors as needed
- Help maintain organized and secure storage of spare parts, tools, and equipment
- Partner with site leadership to suggest process improvements and best practices
- Support a collaborative, team-focused maintenance culture across the facility
- Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of maintenance, mechanical, or building repair experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred
- Working knowledge of industrial equipment, tools, and components
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance needs
- Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
- High School Diploma or GED preferred (or equivalent experience)
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 80 lbs repeatedly
- Work performed in a non-climate-controlled warehouse or production environment
- May require occasional off-site work or travel between facilities
Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work in a warehouse environment. This may include exposure to dust, fluctuating temperatures (hot and cold), and moderate to high noise levels. Steel-toed boots and other personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required.
