An optometric technician works with doctors to care for patients and maintain appointment schedules.
They perform preliminary evaluations, enter patient information into Electronic Health Records (EEHR), assist doctors during exams,
speak with patients about medical issues and their visit reasons for OD prior to appointments
Instructs patients on prescribed medical care and schedules follow-up appointments as needed.
