- Offering comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages, including making necessary referrals for substance abuse and behavioral health requirements.
- Assessing patient health through interviews, physical examinations, and medical histories.
- Diagnosing abnormal conditions through diagnostic tests and interpreting results.
- Recording patient care services in records.
- Performing therapeutic procedures such as administering injections, suturing, and managing infections.
- Counseling patients on therapeutic regimens, growth and development, family planning, and emotional well-being.
- Developing patient management plans for continuity of care.
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment and adhering to regulations.
- Protecting patients and employees through infection control measures.
- Remaining compliant with legal and professional requirements by staying updated on legislation and professional standards.
- Continuously enhancing professional knowledge through education and networking.
- Serving as an interim Medical Director when necessary.
- Willingness to receive training in HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis treatment and management.
- Utilization of the electronic health record effectively.
- Providing supervision to Mid-Level staff as per Texas Board of Medical Examiners' guidelines.
- Working collaboratively with other Clinicians to meet or surpass FQHC Notice of Award.
- Must hold a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O) license in Texas with a clean disciplinary record.
- Schedule flexibility.
- Tasks to be performed in both medical office and clinic settings.
- Capability to lift 25lbs and carry out standard clinic and office duties.
