Cronus Technology, Inc. (CTI) is a progressive company which specializes in the design and management of onshore and offshore pipeline projects. CTI provides a wide range of consulting services to support these projects, including engineering, project management, construction management, inspection, testing and pre-commissioning support.

CTI is currently hiring qualified subsea pipeline engineers with marine pipeline and conventional riser design experience. Qualification is defined in the Competencies and Experience section below. This is a seasoned engineering position requiring 15+ years of experience. The candidate should possess a broad range of engineering skills; exhibit the ability to assist/guide less experienced engineers and be proficient at producing subsea pipeline design, analysis, reports, and procedures.

Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Supervise a team of engineers and serve as the primary interface with the client;
• Conduct engineering analysis and design, such as, pipeline route selection, wall thickness design, span analysis, stability analysis, cathodic protection design, buckling analysis and installation analysis;
• Develop scope of work documents for engineering, survey and construction;
• Perform quality assurance reviews on technical work performed by others;
• Supervise and review regulatory permits, technical reports, specifications and drawings;
• Provide procurement support in the form of RFQ preparation, bid evaluation and ITP review;
• Mentor entry level engineers and assist in the development of subsea pipeline and riser design/analysis methodologies.

Competencies and Experience:

• A minimum of fifteen (15) years experience in the oil & gas industry with a minimum of five (5) years experience in subsea pipeline and conventional riser design is required;
• Experience in performing pipeline/flowline VIV and lateral buckling analyses using non-linear finite element tools such as Abaqus is preferred;
• Experience in performing shallow water riser and subsea tie-in spool VIV, strength and fatigue analyses using non-linear finite element tools such as Abaqus is preferred;
• Ability to coordinate and execute multiple projects simultaneously, coupled with the ability to plan and perform work in a team environment or independently is required;
• Good written and oral communication skills in the English language is required;
• Experience with standard industry software such as MathCAD, Orcaflex, SageProfile, PRCI/AGA OBS, SolidworksTM, FatFree, Shear7 and Abaqus is preferred;

Education and Registrations:

• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline (Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Ocean) is required;
• PE license is preferred.
