Job summary
We are seeking Custodian I to join our team taking the Building Services Department to the next level of excellence.The ideal candidate provides custodial care for Georgia State University facilities.

Duties include sweeping dust mopping wet mopping scrubbing stripping restoring buffing and waxing floors vacuuming removing trash cleaning counters equipment and furnishings performing other duties needed to maintain cleanliness of campus floors clean restrooms set up chairs tables and other equipment in classrooms meeting rooms public areas handle emergency clean-ups perform other related work as needed Must be able to bend twist reach overhead push pull floor equipment vacuum cleaner push pull large trash barrels lift full trash bags weighing 30 pounds Employees will use cleaning chemicals daily sometimes work around dangerous materials laboratories Qualifications Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GED Six months experience working in institutional industrial or commercial setting preferred Preferred Requirements Ability to lift approximately 30-50 lbs Some knowledge of custodial services practices techniques procedures College Business Unit Open until filled Location Atlanta Campus Job Posting December November AM
