    Premier Orthopedics and Sports Medicine is looking for a DME Coordinator to work at our Malvern, Exton, and Collegeville PA offices This role is scheduled to be part-time for 20 hours per week.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Manages the DME program to ensure timely, efficient, and quality DME service to patients and families.
    • Ensures that all DME is maintained in a clean, safe, and properly functioning manner at all times.
    • Ensures coverage for DME services at all locations, providing backup directly as needed.
    • Maintains all required departmental records and provides reports as requested (e.g., current · equipment inventory, usage trends, etc.)
    • Develops, recommends, and implements required departmental policies and procedures.
    • Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, regulatory standards, and organizational policies and procedures, and defined standards, etc.
    • Completes performance evaluations for all assigned staff promptly.
    • Develops departmental budget and manages expenses within established limits.

    EDUCATION

    • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, or two years industry-related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of 2 years DME management experience preferred.

    KNOWLEDGE

    • Knowledge of all types of orthopedic surgery and state-of-the-art cast management including all types of current forms of immobilization from plaster cast technique and bracing.
    • Knowledge of musculoskeletal systems, anatomy, and physiology as related to fractures, fracture care, and various anomalies. Understands orthopedic disease processes and their effect on the musculoskeletal system.
    • Knowledge of departmental policies, procedures, and protocols related to casting.

    SKILLS

    • Skill in effectively educating patients and families on casting topics.
    • Skill in positive collaborations with physicians and physician assistants.
    • Skill in providing guidance, instruction, and training to orthopedic technicians.
