- Adhere to established safety precautions, including fire safety, when performing tasks, using equipment and supplies.
- Maintain knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen environment. Clean and prepare various foods for cooking or serving as directed.
- Ability to identify all different types of foods from meats and seafood to produce and grocery items.
- Also know where they belong and how to properly rotate these items.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn our food and recipes as we want them prepared - Knowledge of Rationale Cooking Center a plus
- Respect and knowledge of all cooking equipment, tools and vessels need to complete one's job.
- Understand correct cooking times and temperatures.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of allergies and cross contamination.
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition
- Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience preferred in Senior Living including but not limited to IL, AL, Memory Care, Long-term Care or Home Health.
Flexibility to adapt to ongoing change and work in a fast paced, customer service driven environment.
Exhibit a sincere desire to work with the senior population.
Exhibit outstanding customer service skills and contribute to a friendly and dynamic atmosphere.
Exhibit high level of professionalism, courtesy and time management skills.
