- Sweeps, dusts, dust mops and wet mops floors and stairways, spots carpets, and buffs hard floors
- Cleans and sanitizes all surfaces
- Cleans and sanitizes waste receptacles
- Collects trash and refuse from work areas and completes appropriate disposal
- Cleans, sanitizes, and polishes baths, lavatories, and shower/sink fixtures in all bathrooms and locker rooms
- Stocks paper and soap products, etc. as necessary
- Cleans and polishes glass surfaces, walls, and window sills, window frames, doors, and registers
- Maintains equipment and materials in a clean and orderly manner
- Vacuums and edges carpeted areas as necessary
- Contributes by participating in meetings, identifying problems, and seeking solutions
- Participates in department efforts to monitor and report
- Together with the Facilities Manager develop and implement environmental standard policies and procedures for cleaning schedules for what should be done daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually
- Notify the Facilities Manager concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
- Maintain equipment or systems to ensure proper functioning
- Perform minor maintenance requests as delegated by the Facilities Manager such as doing touch-up paint to a wall after-hours
- Manage the environmental services staffing and scheduling to ensure all areas of the building are properly cleaned and maintained adding additional staff as needed
- Provide Quality control and feedback to other Environmental services staff
- Monitor building security and safety by performing tasks such as locking doors after operating hours or checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
- Make sure the chemicals you use are labeled and you have a Material Safety Data Sheet in a binder for each product. If you put chemicals into a different container, label the new container.
- Do not mix chemicals unless instructed to by the manufacturer. Never mix bleach and ammonia.
- Close all containers, especially spray bottles when not in use.
- Identify job hazards and work toward solutions
- Clean up spills immediately & use warning signs to keep people away from wet floors.
- Use a ladder or footstool on a stable dry surface to reach objects.
- Make sure shelves and storage racks are stable and secure.
- Wear shoes with non-skid soles.
- Keep electrical equipment away from water
- Monitor the facility for any potential hazards such as broken chairs, tripping hazards, and damaged glass and communicate to the facilities manager
- Allocate and monitor work assigned to Environmental Service Staff providing ongoing feedback and regular appraisal. Identify and support training and development opportunities for assigned staff.
- Oversee proper record keeping and reporting including activities and events conducted, breakdowns of daily participation figures, notable achievements and any programs/issues.
- Ensure productive and effective performance by all Environmental Service Staff.
- Demonstrate leadership to ensure conduct, safety and development of staff.
- Internal: Maintain close, daily contact with Facilities Manager, Clubhouse Director, and Fitness Director.
- External: Maintain contact as needed with external contractors and vendors.
- Must be able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to squat or bend.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 10 pounds for short periods of time.
- Must be able to participate in physical activities throughout the facility, on the property and/or on field trips.

Status: Full-Time 30+ Hours weekly, Non-Exempt

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Serve as the primary person responsible for The Clubhouse facility cleanliness. Coordinate and Facilitate the daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning policies and procedures and ensure their completion.
