    • Position Summary
      • The Psychologist is responsible for providing therapeutic services to all of the patients in Behavioral Health and Psychiatric services. This includes assessments, individual, group and family therapy.
    • Minimum Qualifications
      • Education
        • PhD in Psychology.
      • Credentials
        • Licensed Psychologist in the state of Nebraska OR Provisional Licensed Psychologist in the state of Nebraska required.
        • BLS required. Completion of CPI training required.
    • Physical Demands
      • Sit frequently.
      • Stand and/or walk frequently.
      • Visual, hearing, and color vision within normal limits.
      • Bend and/or stoop frequently.
      • Grip and/or pinch within normal limits.
      • Lift 50 pounds occasionally.
      • Carry 50 pounds frequently.
      • Reach floor-overhead frequently.
      • Fine motor coordination within normal limits.
      • Computer use frequently
    • Essential Functions
      • Assesses patient's psychosocial history and documents in the clinical record.
      • Completes interdisciplinary treatment plan and with patient develops treatment goals. Develops treatment plan and with patient develops treatment goals. Develops treatment interventions based on patient needs and goals.
      • This position is responsible for therapy based individual, group and family therapy.
      • With the psychiatrist and interdisciplinary team, the Psychologist coordinates patient's care including discharge planning. Education is also provided to the patient and family members.
      • This position is responsible for conducting necessary Psychological testing of patients.
      • Interacts and participates in the education, role development and orientation of facility personnel, patients, students, families and visitors. Promotes/supports growth of others through precepting and mentoring with appropriate.
      • Attends department meetings and educational sessions; assists in training new Behavioral Health Services staff.
      • Contributes to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes through timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and safe care. Actively participates in the improvement of professional quality indicators and outcomes. Such activities may include participating in professional organizations.
