    Job Title: Medical Assistant

    Summary: We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to assist medical providers in providing high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various duties, including escorting patients, taking vital signs, and documenting information in patient charts.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Patient Care:

    Escort patients to exam rooms and conduct interviews.

    Measure and document vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.

    Instruct patients on medications and special diets as directed by the medical provider.

    Explain treatment procedures to patients and prepare them for examination.

    Assist physicians during patient exams and collect laboratory specimens.

    Perform basic laboratory tests and maintain exam rooms with adequate medical supplies.

    Administrative Tasks:

    Prepare and administer medications as directed by the physician.

    Remove sutures and change dressings.

    Maintain logs and required checks, such as refrigerator temperatures and emergency medications.

    Communication and Collaboration:

    Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to providers.

    Demonstrate a commitment to superior customer experiences and collaborate with others to coordinate care.

    Requirements:

    SC License as an RN is required.

    Experience in a pediatric medical practice is preferred.

    Working knowledge of computer applications, particularly electronic medical records, is desired.
