AFCS is looking for a Full-Time Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Family Advocacy Intervention Specialist, GS , to work at the 436 Airlift Wing, Dover AFB, Dover, DE.

In this position you are responsible for providing social work services in support of the Family Advocacy Program. As the Family Advocacy Intervention Specialist, you develop and coordinate the secondary prevention component of the Family advocacy Program.

You perform crisis intervention, risk and clinical assessments, case management and administrative tasks to prevent and treat child and spouse/intimate partner abuse.

• Master's degree in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
• Virgin Islands
• Two years' experience working in the field of child abuse and domestic abuse
• Meet all Medical Treatment Facility credentialing requirements
• Practice requires clinical privileges at the host Medical Treatment Facility
• Knowledge of a variety of social services, social work practices and theories including clinical case work, family and children protection services, and family violence prevention theory and practice
• Skill in conducting interviews to establish nature and extent of issues to provide professional assistance to clients and determine appropriate referral services
