    Position Description

    The role will involve design and implementation, technical mentoring, and project management of automation solutions with DCS, PLC, HMI, and SCADA platforms. This role is project focused with a concentration in the Theme Park/Entertainment industry.

    The Sr Controls Engineer will interact directly with customers and lead a team of engineers in identifying requirements, developing specifications, and implementing automation solutions. The Sr Engineer should have experience and capability to execute at every stage of the project life cycle.

    Position Responsibilities:
    • Deliver innovative automation solutions for theme park/entertainment projects
    • Lead daily operations and activities of a projects
    • Develop control system architecture
    • Select the components to be used for the control system
    • Detail schematic diagrams and system documentation
    • Programming controllers (PLC, DCS)
    • Programming the process visualization (HMI/SCADA)
    • Develop databases for historical system data
    • Implement control systems at the client's facility
    • Collaborate with project manager on; developing project execution plans, work breakdown structures and associated budgets, task prioritization and scheduling, task ordering, time tracking and reporting, financial tracking and reporting, early problem identification, conflict resolution, attending project status meetings. Also includes
    • Technical writing including project definition and requirements, status reporting, process control sequence of operations, standard practices and procedures, scope of supply, requests for information, customer correspondence and code commenting.
    Desirable Skills, Experience, Education
    • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
    • Experience with Rockwell, Siemens, Ignition, Aveva, Wonderware, Modicon, Experion, DeltaV, etc
    • Experience with field troubleshooting of equipment
    • In-depth understanding of PLC, HMI, DCS, SCADA
    • Experience in the entertainment industry/theme parks
    • Experience in design of electrical schematics, control panels, including power distribution under 480VAC, and associated NEC references desired.
    • Experience with AutoCAD is also desired
    • Experience leading a team of engineers/technicians to provide control system solutions
    • Experience mentoring less experienced engineers
    • Ability to travel to local clients
