    Currently, we are seeking to hire a Part-time Junior Staff Accountant who will provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks, preparing financial statements, and compile reports. This goal of this positions is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition. This position is 100% remote.

    Essential Functions:

    • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
    • QuickBooks maintenance - Update A/R and A/P and issue invoices. Update bank feeds. Continuously add / deactivate accounts, vendors, and employees as necessary.
    • Assist with monthly Budget vs. Actual reporting and provide analysis of general ledger as it relates to program budgets and costs are contained and properly explained against variances.
    • Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations. Update forecast budget and compare with actual expenses.
    • Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to company guidelines
    • Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned.
    • Accurately update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate. Continuously update accounts with new vendors, create any new accounts and employees (add & deactivate).
    • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports.
    • Assist with creating Overall Company Budget and Budget Reforecast, payroll entries and update monthly|daily financial metrics.
    • Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
    • Assist with other accounting projects
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
    • Other duties as assigned

    Experience and Education:

    • 3-5 years of experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
    • Qualifications (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is a plus but not required
    • Must have experience in QuickBooks Online
    • Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis
    • Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements
    • Proficient in general ledger reconciliation and maintaining accurate financial records
    • Must have a strong understanding of financial and operational controls.
    • Knowledge of budgeting processes and variance analysis
    • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
    • Ability to work well independently and in a team.
    • Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented
    • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate and maintain positive relationships with other staff members and prepare documents for presentation.
    • Familiarity with relevant computer software preferred (e.g – PowerBI, Tableau)
    • Excellent knowledge of MS Office required and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g. SAP)
