    Visit our Careers page for more information on our benefits ( , locations ( and the process ( of joining the State Farm team Responsibilities State Farm Litigation Counsel, insurance staff counsel for State Farm Insurance Companies, is seeking a trial attorney with 2-10 years civil litigation and trial experience to join our Crown Point, Indiana office.

    Candidates must have exceptional knowledge of civil procedure, evidence and trial strategy and possess outstanding written and oral advocacy skills.

    Competitive candidates will be well organized, detail oriented and able to independently manage a caseload where all work is time sensitive.

    You will be working in a hybrid environment, with some required presence in the office and some remote. Work arrangements could change over time based on business needs.

    Qualifications We are looking for candidates with:

    • Must have a law degree from ABA accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
    • Must have active license to practice law in Indiana and be a member in good standing with the state bar
    • 2-10 years of civil litigation experience preferably in insurance defense
    • Experience presenting and cross-examining expert and lay witnesses is a plus but not required
    • Experience working in a paperless environment
    • Experience directing support staff on clerical and administrative matters related to lawsuit handling
    • Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation
    • Illinois law license and/or bilingual a plus but not required
    • Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work opportunity
    • Potential salary range: $110,550-$184,800
    • Potential yearly incentive pay up to 16% of base salary (results may vary from year to year)#LI-CG1
