THE ROLE
Under the direction and supervision of the Head Cross Country and/or Track Coach, teaches running drills and form, ensuring the safety and well-being of each child. Leads warm-ups, skills, drills and appropriately demonstrates whenever possible. Performs regular safety checks and ensures running is safe at all times. Helps to set up and clean up equipment if necessary. Arrives 15 minutes before scheduled class to familiarize self with the coaching plans.
SCHEDULE
Cross Country
Tuesday & Thursdays from June 18 – August 8, 2024
4:00-5:30pm; Additional training hours may be required
Track
Monday & Wednesday from June 10 – July 17, 2024
4:30-6:00pm; Additional training hours may be required
Requirements:QUALIFICATIONS
What does it take to succeed in this role? We're looking for a motivated individual with strong time management skills and a willingness to learn. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in running and should enjoy working with children/have the ability to effectively communicate with both children and adults. Must be at least 14 years of age.
