    ABOUT THE ROLE

    As the Compliance Coordinator, you're responsible for ensuring that licensed Child Care programs are compliant. This includes monitoring and planning for improvements based on local, state, and federal regulations, grants, and YMCA policies. You'll review our programs, develop improvement plans, and ensure consistent implementation of compliance initiatives. You will also audit for state and federal compliance, including ensuring all required forms and documentation are filed and up to date. Compliance areas include, but are not limited to, Child Care Licensing, Sanitation, Fire, and Facilities requirements. The Compliance Coordinator works collaboratively with Program Directors to ensure compliance and be available during program hours.
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    • Be knowledgeable about all information provided in the Youth Services Staff Handbook.
    • Adhere to the policies of the YMCA of Western North Carolina & local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Conduct monitoring and technical assistance visits to program locations as assigned and accurately to complete associated reports and forms.
    • Assist sites in developing improvement action plans based on completed monitoring visits.
    • Ensure that each program location maintains compliance with applicable record retention requirements.
    • Audit record retention systems as assigned to ensure ongoing compliance with grant and regulatory requirements.
    • Review and process records submitted by program staff for approval. Follow up appropriately based on any delinquencies
    • Work collaboratively with the YMCA Business Center and other departments to ensure timely and accurately completed compliance requirements and tasks
    • Provide ongoing support with compliance requirements and management strategies to program staff.
    • Support administrative duties for the department.
    • Support procurement and logistics activities as assigned to ensure programs maintain compliance with requirements.
    • Be available during program operation hours to support on-site compliance needs and direct service
    • Perform all other duties assigned
    ABOUT YOU

    Qualifications
    • Must be at least 21 years of age with an Associate's Degree or equivalent
    • 2 years of relevant professional experience
    • Must be able to pass the NCDHHS background check.
    • Experience with licensed childcare programs is preferred but not required.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Excellent personal computer skills and experience with standard business software.
    • Requires strong organizational skills, prioritization of workloads in order to meet deadlines, as well as detail orientation and conscientiousness.
    • Must have excellent interpersonal, public relations, and communications skills.
