- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a transit location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site representatives and public responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor entry points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or access authorization when required, and assist with directing foot traffic.
- Complete patrol and incident reports, document hazards and/or maintenance concerns, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Baton certification is highly preferred and will be completed pre-hire.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Job Description
As a Security Officer - Part-Time Station Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an Unarmed Patrol Security Officer at a transit location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff and visitors with strong communication and customer service while documenting observations and reporting concerns.
