This is responsible work in performing a variety of manual tasks in the operation of one or more types of moderately heavy motor equipment.

Responsibilities
- Completion of a minimum of the eighth grade, preferably high school graduation or the successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test,
- a minimum of one year's experience with the ability to demonstrate skill in the operation of one or more pieces of Equipment Operator II level equipment;
- a combination of education or experience equivalent to these requirements.
