This is an exciting opportunity for a Certified Surgical Technologist with Cardiothoracic or CVOR experience to join Chesapeake Regional Healthcare's new open heart program. This role is responsible for assisting in nursing care and surgical services under the Registered Nurse's supervision. Activities are based on accepted standards of the Operating Room practice and are performed within the scope of education, training, and experience.

Education and Experience

Minimum Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent; successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program, and certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (required).

Preferred Education: Not applicable

Experience: Two or more than years as a Cardiothoracic/Open Heart Surgery Technician

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (required).

Must hold an active, unexpired BLS certification

Must be licensed by the Board of Medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia to practice as a Surgical Technologist or Certified Surgical Technologist.
