We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join one of our clients in the Richmond area The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making processes within the bank.

This role is HYBRID and allows two work-from-home days per week.


REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

CPA certification preferred3+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the banking industryStrong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and proceduresHands-on experience in financial analysis and reporting software, including ExcelExcellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detailAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Knowledge of banking regulations and regulatory reporting requirements is a plus.


Responsibilities & Duties:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Coordinate and assist with external audits and regulatory examinations.
Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard financial assets and mitigate risks.
Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic planning initiatives.
Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, as needed.
Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes affecting financial reporting and accounting practices.#J-18808-Ljbffr
