    Expected work schedule for the Detroit Campus Minister:

    We offer flexible full or part time schedules. Overtime or weekends may be required for specific events as well as attendance at the IFI retreat.

    Pay structure for a Detroit Campus Minister:

    IFI provides training in order to equip Detroit Campus Ministers in personal fundraising. The Detroit Campus Minister will develop a team of partners to cover financial needs such as salary, benefits, ministry expenses, and pray for their ministry. A Detroit Campus Minister can expect a salary of $24,960-$72,800 based on experience and other factors.

    About the area and Responsibilities of a Detroit Campus Minister:

    We have openings available at Oakland University located in Rochester Hills, Michigan and Wayne State University located in Detroit, Michigan. Wayne State University has over 1,000 international students, many of which are from India and Saudi Arabia. Oakland University (OU) has hundreds of international students. They typically live in apartments near campus as they pursue PhD and master degrees. With students from India, Saudi Arabia, China and many other countries, the international student population is diverse, dedicated to their studies, and often enjoy connecting with local friends. This position is part of the Detroit ministry team and requires the candidate to live near the campus on which they will be serving.

    The Detroit Campus Minister will evangelize and disciple international students, scholars, and their families by building friendships, connecting with student associations, and hosting cultural events and Bible studies. The Detroit Campus Minister will also mobilize other Christians to serve on a campus ministry team, pursue creative ways to share the Gospel, and develop culture-specific outreaches.

    Qualifications needed of a Detroit Campus Minister, including Spiritual Characteristics

    The Detroit Campus Minister must adhere to IFI's statement of faith, core values, and policies. The Detroit Campus Minister must be a person of character who faithfully extends God's love globally by mobilizing Christians to effectively communicate the Gospel in the context of various cultures.

    Education/Experience Preferred for a Detroit Campus Minister:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor Degree
  • Minimum of one-year involvement in campus ministry or completion of IFI ISEED Program
