targeting Houston, TX and/or Grand Prairie, TX Elevance Health offices
this position will work a hybrid model (remote and office) which requires working in the nearest Elevance Health office 1-2 days per week. The rest of the time would be working remotely (from home). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of our Houston, TX or Grand Prairie, TX Elevance Health office locations.
The
Strategic Vendor Consultant
will be responsible for managing relationships with vendors, stakeholders, and key decision makers in order to meet or exceed business goals.
How you will make an impact :
Assess supplier Medicaid Exhibit requirements aligned to
growth/expansion/M&A.
Triage incoming supplier contract requests and validate against filing guidelines per state contract.
Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to complete state-specific filing requirements and assemble the supplier contract documentation.
Coordinate with local health plan Compliance, Legal, Health Plan Leadership and State Agency in the review, submission, and approval of supplier contracts.
Document and maintain information that Elevance Health supplies via the filing process (e.g. various supplier attestations, performance metrics, P&Ps, CAPS, etc.).Assist Compliance, Legal, and Health Plan Leadership with and responses to state-specific supplier ad-hoc requests, audits, state contractually required reporting.
Manages the execution of vendor agreements to ensure compliance, monitor quality, and develop corrective action plans.Participates in cross-functional teams to implement vendor
services.
Drives continuous improvement activities and implementations across functional areas. Recommends and implements vendor parameters regarding regulatory requirements impacting vendors in support of business
objectives.
Works with business representatives to define assure that all aspects of new market implementation run smoothly
Manages and presents vendor dashboards, mitigation plans, ad-hoc reports & projects to senior leadership including State Plan Presidents.
Minimum requirements:
Requires a BA/BS degree in business or related field required; 5-7 years of increasingly responsible professional level contract Compliance, management, vendor management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred skills, capabilities, and experiences:
Understanding of and experience with Medicare/Medicaid, state and/or federal regulatory requirements preferred.
Ability to work independently and draw up plans to address issues/concerns strongly preferred.
Excellent leadership, problem solving, organizational, planning, presentation, consultative and interpersonal communication skills strongly preferred.
Proficient
computer skills including window-based applications (Word, Power Point, Excel, & Access)
Experience with word intake management tools (Ariba or similar), and/or spend management tools (Domo or similar).
