    Facility Dayton Children's - Tech Town Department IT Schedule Full time Hours 40 Job Details The Junior Data Developer position, under the guidance of the Data Infrastructure Team Lead and CIO, will assist in the designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft's SQL Server, Power Platform, and SharePoint environments.

    Power Platform environments include, but are not limited to, PowerApps, and Power Automate. This position's main responsibility within each environment is to ensure data security and integrity is preserved.

    This position is expected to have working knowledge of DCH ITIL processes and needs to follow the DCH ITIL change management processes to ensure proper testing and data validations as well as follow established IT policies and procedures.

    Requirements - Minimum Qualifications

    High School Education
    Working knowledge with Microsoft SQL Server database environments
    RDBMS concepts and Practical knowledge of SQL statements and constructs
    Ability to write efficient SQL queries
    Strong written, communication, and organizational skills
    Preferred Experience/Skills

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
    1-2 years applicable work experience in a SQL development or administrative role
    Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) tools to create new and manage existing SSIS packages supporting ETL processes
    Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
    Experience with Microsoft's Power Platform (PowerApps and Power Automate)

    Department Specific Job Details

    Data Infrastructure Team Supervision (30%)
    Serves as the direct Supervisor to Data Infrastructure Administrators, Analysts and other team members.
    Performs monthly rounding on direct reports per Dayton Children's standards
    Conducts yearly performance appraisals in conjunction with manager per hospital practices.
    IT Systems Hardware/Software Design, Implementation, and Administration (25%)

    Leads the team with the installation, configuration, testing, upgrading, and maintenance of the entire data infrastructure software environment at Dayton Children's including SQL Server (standalone and clustered), Epic Cogito environment including Clarity, Slicer/Dicer and Caboodle, Microsoft PowerBI and associated tabular cube models as well as Microsoft O365 data products.

    Provides team direction on assisting with desktop client installations of related data products such as SQL Studio.
    Guides the team regarding data integrations with Active Directory.

    Directs the team with account provisioning in Active Directory and related systems by creating, configuring, and modifying users and groups related to data.

    Leads the team with managing, installing, upgrading and monitoring all Epic Cogito components including configuration settings and administrative tasks/processes, such as Clarity console, ETL and other nightly processing.

    Drives team collaboration with the Analytics teams to support a variety of reporting processes/tools including Crystal Reports.
    Project Management (25%)
    Leads IT Data Infrastructure team members in planning and implementation of data infrastructure and system requirements.

    Guides the team with developing new system hardware/software implementation plans, creating custom scripts and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability.

    Trains technical staff in how to use new software and hardware developed and/or acquired.
    Leads the team in creating and updating technical tasks as part of the project management process.
    Represents the Data Infrastructure team on projects and facilitates technical meetings.
    Manages third party consultants for specialized IT engagements as required.
    IT Data Infrastructure Hardware/Software Troubleshooting (10%)
    Delivers world class technical support for covered team's areas.

    Functions as lead resource for coordinating the troubleshooting of issues and escalates unresolved issues to management in a timely manner.

    Directs the application of revisions to software as necessary to resolve issues and maintain current levels of code.
    Guides the team in monitoring data systems performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with vendors to implement those fixes

    Leads the team in performing in depth root cause analysis of issues and analyze incident trend data to promote stable solutions in the environment.

    Proactively communicates with all levels of staff and management and deliver exceptional customer service.
    Provides positive leadership and influence of team members, and pushes to issue resolution with minimal management supervision or direction.
    Disaster Recovery and Security (5%)

    Advises the team in the design, implementation, and administration of procedures to maintain security and protect IT data systems from unauthorized use, acts of nature and user abuse.

    Leads team to implement industry standard best practices for security from Microsoft, Epic, Cisco, Citrix, IBM, and all other IT vendors in use by Dayton Children's.

    Directs the team to develop procedures, programs and documentation for backup and restoration of operating systems and applications using IBM Tivoli and regularly tests these procedures.

    Directs the team to ensure high availability and acceptable levels of performance of enterprise-critical computer resources.
    Data Infrastructure Hardware/Software Standards Documentation (5%)

    Guides the team to create comprehensive technology analysis documents, instruction sheets, data diagrams, and process documentation for all organization IT data systems covered by this team.

    Leads the team to establish and document guidelines and methods for the installation and management of data software systems, Epic Cogito environment and client applications.
