    Job Title: Temporary Internal IT Support Technician (6-Month Contract)

    Location: Brooklyn, New York

    Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Temporary Internal IT Support Technician to join our client's team in Brooklyn for a 6-month contract period. This role will involve providing comprehensive IT support, including computer installation, diagnostics, upgrades, printer setup, and phone system configuration. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver exceptional service to our client's employees.

    Responsibilities:

    Computer Installation and Setup:

    • Install and configure desktops, laptops, and peripherals for new employees.
    • Ensure all computers are set up with required software and network connectivity.
    • Provide basic training to users on computer usage and software applications.

    Diagnostic and Repair:

    • Perform diagnostics to identify and resolve hardware and software issues.
    • Troubleshoot technical problems reported by employees and provide timely resolutions.
    • Replace faulty hardware components and reinstall software as needed.

    Upgrades and Maintenance:

    • Conduct hardware and software upgrades for existing computers.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks to optimize the performance of IT equipment.
    • Maintain accurate records of hardware inventory and software licenses.

    Printer Setup and Maintenance:

    • Install, configure, and troubleshoot printers and printing devices.
    • Address printing issues reported by users and perform necessary repairs.
    • Coordinate with vendors for printer maintenance and supply replenishment.

    Phone System Setup and Support:

    • Configure and deploy phone systems and VoIP services for employees.
    • Provide technical support for phone system users and troubleshoot issues.
    • Assist with the setup and integration of mobile devices for business use.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
    • Proven experience in IT support or a similar role, preferably in a corporate environment.
    • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and office software.
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
    • Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or equivalent.
    • Familiarity with network protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
    • Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and other enterprise-level systems.
    • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data protection principles.
