Our client is a private NY-based investment firm that is on a mission to shake up the private equity world by taking an innovative approach to investing in GP stakes. They take pride in investing in other alternative asset managers by acquiring a minority stake in their funds. This includes private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, secondaries, and other unique closed and private investment strategies.
Their flagship fund, which has been turning heads in the industry, is currently raising capital. However, they are not stopping there. In early 2023, they launched an exciting new investment strategy, still focused on GP stakes, but with a twist. This new strategy involves making structured equity and debt investments to either the GPs or their funds.
What sets them apart from the rest is their commitment to permanent equity investments. They don't play by the conventional rules of buying and selling investments. Instead, they hold their investments long-term, an innovative approach to investing that is paving the way for a new era in the private equity industry.
THE ROLE
Our client is kicking off the search for a 2025 Investment Associate. This is an exciting opportunity for high-performing investment professionals looking to advance their careers in the investment space. As an Associate, you will work on all phases of the investment process and gain experience in both equity and debt funds, providing you with a unique and comprehensive investing toolkit.
