Sound Care Agency is currently looking for exceptional nannies to join our team of backup care nannies in the greater Seattle Area.

Here in our backup care department, we specialize in providing on demand, backup and temporary childcare to families in the greater Seattle Area.
<\/div>
<\/div>
As a member of our backup care team, you have the ultimate flexibility of schedule. As a matter of fact, we never tell you when, how often or WHERE you need to work.
<\/div>
<\/div>
You also choose the ages of children you want to care for.
<\/div>
<\/div>
You choose the jobs and schedule that works for you. You could work part time, full time, weekends only or a combination thereof based on your availability. We only ask that you take ONE job per month. And there is no cap on the number of hours you can work (we pay overtime rate per WA state law)

This is also a child focused position. That means that your job is to ensure the children in your care are SAFE, engaged, supervised, fed, kept clean and nurtured. You will not be responsible for household tasks other than picking up after the kids and yourself.

Location:<\/b> Though we service several areas around the Puget Sound, our biggest need is for nannies able to work in and around Seattle and the East Side

Start Date:<\/b> We are looking for nannies immediately
<\/div>
<\/div>
Job choice:<\/b> You choose the jobs that work for you \- from the days\/hours, to location to ages and number of kids.
<\/div>
<\/div>
Children: <\/b> The children we are trusted to care for range in age from newborn to teen. And we have a strict 4:1 child to adult ratio (meaning you will never be in charge of more than 4 children at a time).
<\/div>
<\/div>
Hours:<\/b> You choose We have shifts available to fit every schedule (weekdays, weekends, mornings, evenings and everything in between). Because you are in charge of your own schedule, you also never have to ask to take time off Want to go on vacation and be gone for 2 weeks \- great Just don't schedule yourself for the dates you will be gone. It's a simple as that.

Compensation:<\/b> $25\/hr (you will be hired as a W2 employee by Sound Care Agency) with unlimited overtime at $37.50\/hr. We do have a small percentage of our jobs that pay $28\/hr and offer those on a first come, first served basis.

Duration:<\/b> We are looking for nannies that can commit to us for at least 3 months and hopefully well beyond.
<\/div>
<\/div>
Experience:<\/b> Our nannies must have at least 2 years of professional childcare experience. We work with nannies that can not only meet the physical needs of the kids in their care (carrying them, changing diapers, feeding, putting then down for naps\/sleep, walking up and down stairs), but who come to the table with ideas on creative ways to engage with children.

This is a really fun job. It's not without it's challenges, of course, but that's where working for an agency that is supportive and collaborative makes all the difference.

In addition to what we outlined above, in order to join our amazing team, you must:
<\/div>- Have at least 2 year of professional childcare experience<\/span>
<\/li>
- Demonstrate a genuine passion for providing exceptional childcare<\/span>
<\/li>
- Have Stellar (and reachable) references<\/span>
<\/li>
- Be HIGHLY responsible, dependable, patient, nurturing, trustworthy and FUN<\/span>
<\/li>
- Have internet, phone, text and email access and be willing to actively use our app DAILY<\/span>
<\/li>
- Have a reliable car to get you to\/from assignments in a timely manner (no on\-the\-job driving will be required<\/span>
<\/li>
- Physically be able to lift 50 lbs., sprint short distances, get easily up from and down to the floor and stairs, etc.<\/span>
<\/li>
- Be willing to wear a mask on the job if you or the kids are mildly ill<\/span>
<\/li>
- Be willing to provide a copy of your responsible driving record at your own expense. While there will be no on\-the\-job driving, we must have this information for screening and insurance purposes. There is a $13 fee for this report<\/span>
<\/li>
- Be Infant and Child CPR\/First Aid Certified (or be willing to renew before the start of employment at your own expense<\/span>
<\/li>
- Be willing to submit to a thorough annual Background check and screening (including social media presence)<\/span>
<\/li>
- Be legally eligible to work in the US<\/span>
<\/li>
- Be Fluent in English (spoken and written)<\/span>
