    We are currently seeking Physical Security Specialists to work with one of our clients in Alexandria, VA

    Position:
    Space Policy Specialist


    Salary:
    Depends on experience.

    Investigation:
    Active Top Secret (T5) Clearance, with SCI eligibility.

    Period of Performance:
    one year and four option years.
    Place of Performance: 100% onsite in Alexandria, VA
    Requirements

    • Minimum of four (4) years' experience in the security functional area
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, or, 5 additional years of relevant experience with an associate degree, or, 7 additional years of relevant experience with no degree
    • At least five (5) years combined OSD, Joint Staff, or Service-level security experience
    • Experience with handling classified correspondence and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite tools
    • Demonstrated subject matter knowledge of DoD, intelligence community, and national-level physical security policies and procedures
    • Completed security training from the CSA CDSE within the past three (3) years
    • Familiarity with the latest policies, processes, and procedures for the security discipline hired
    • Local travel will be required with this position (within 100 miles)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and advise on space security policy and strategy
    • Coordinate with government and industry partners on space security matters
    • Assess threats to space assets and recommend protective measures
    • Ensure compliance with national and international space security regulations
    • Provide expertise on space-related security initiatives and programs
    • Manage daily SAP operations and implement relevant Government directives and guidance documents
    • Support DOD in managing program indoctrination agreements and tracking processing equipment for SAP operations
    • Submit requests to meet SAP operations processing needs and support accurate application of SAP security classification guidance
    • Prepare and process visit requests, control transfer, storage, management, and destruction of SAP information
    • Coordinate physical transfer of classified materials and investigate security incidents, conducting risk analyses and preparing reports
    • Provide security support for meetings and conferences, including attendee clearance and checking
    • Access various databases for security purposes and interact with SAPCO to assist with administrative requests
    • Assign document accountability control numbers and track the transfer and destruction of positively controlled documents
    • Aid and support to maintain, sustain, and execute SMD's facility agreements
    • Submit monthly reports summarizing accomplishments and mission constraints to the on-site team lead
