    Physical Therapist II - Physical Therapy

    St. John's Regional Medical Center

    As a Physical Therapist II at St. John's Regional Medical Center, now part of CommonSpirit Health resulting from the merger of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, you'll play a vital role in aiding our patients in recovering or sustaining their physical health post illnesses, injuries, or age-related issues. Through diverse treatment approaches, you'll assist patients in alleviating pain, enhancing strength and endurance, improving range of motion, and enhancing balance to ensure optimal functionality.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with a diverse team of physicians and therapists to devise and execute customized treatment plans for each patient
    • Conduct initial patient assessments and subsequent reassessments to track progress levels
    • Record all treatments administered and observe any changes in patient status
    • Customize treatments according to individual patient needs - embrace creativity and go the extra mile
    • Pursue continuous learning opportunities and serve as a valuable resource for knowledge sharing
    • Deliver top-notch care consistently to every patient

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience; proven ability to operate independently and proficiently
    • Valid California license in Physical Therapy (PT Lic)
    • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification (AHA BLS)
    • Displays excellent interpersonal skills with colleagues, physicians, hospital units, and the general public
    • Demonstrates adept familiarity with standard practices, procedures, and equipment in the department
    • Willingness to actively engage in departmental and hospital initiatives
    • Exhibits self-motivation and effective results achievement through strong organizational and prioritization skills
    • Capable of working autonomously and being an effective team player in a collaborative setting
    • Ability to mentor and supervise student interns during their clinical exposure
    • Flexibility in managing caseload throughout a given day to support the department's goals
    • Advocates for services within the community as suitable

    This role falls under L121 PRO representation and is governed by the terms and conditions of the relevant collective bargaining agreement.
