- Developing a deep understanding of the consumer, category, and competitive players to inform strategic and project recommendations
- Creation of category and brand innovation strategies, innovation platforms, and pipeline projects aligned to local and global strategies
- Delivery of a sufficient pipeline of high-quality, penetration-driving innovation that meets the financial, household penetration, and sustainability objectives of Haleon
- Development and execution of 1-4-year brand pipelines for all channels (eComm, Club, Value, FDM), to ensure a robust pipeline with supportable cadence
- Manage team resourcing. Allocate and assign platform and project responsibilities across team. Identify single Point of Contact individuals to align to Brand.
- Ideate and lead significant innovation platforms and projects through stage gates as PAL (Project Accountable Leader), in accordance with the Haleon Innovation Model
- Build and assess innovation project business cases with strong desirability/ viability/ feasibility/ sustainability profiles
- Manage, coach, and develop Sr Innovation Mangers, Managers, and Associate Managers to build a strong bench of skilled innovators
- Lead Innovation function and Wellness and New Categories process transformation initiatives to simplify and speed up. Develop, pilot, and operationalize new repeatable innovation approaches, in alignment with key stakeholders
- Represent category pipelines and projects internally (e.g. governance and leadership meetings) and externally (e.g. customer engagements)
- Lead select key initiatives for total US Innovation team. Examples include I&D, sustainability, Learning and Development, Talent Development
- Bachelors degree
- 10+ years marketing, brand management, or innovation experience
- Significant innovation experience including responsibility for setting innovation strategies, creating and executing platforms, managing end-to-end development, running large multi-year cross-functional teams, and launching new products
- Highly Desired: Commercial experience. Strong facility with P&L, forecasting, and go-to-market launch planning
- Strong strategic and analytical skills, including ability to source, synthesize, and leverage data to make fact-based recommendations
- Excellent storytelling and communication skills. Ability to inspire enthusiasm and alignment with internal and external stakeholders
- Exceptional leadership skills. Can set priorities and rally teams behind key objectives. Demonstrates flexibility of individual and team leadership approaches. Is self-aware and flexes to the situation.
- Previous experience managing people and creating a culture where team members can bring their best selves to work.
- Comfortable challenging status-quo. Proactive in identifying, leading and implementing change initiatives. Stretches beyond comfort zone.
- MBA
- Entrepreneurial experience a plus as is experience with varied innovation approaches (traditional stage gate, lean start up, sprints) and applied understanding of Design Thinking principles. Demonstrated examples of use of non-traditional innovation tools such, e.g. digital testing, MVP launch-and-learns, online and physical experimentation

Description
The US Innovation Senior Director owns the delivery of Wellness and New Category innovation pipelines necessary for the US BU to achieve sales, growth, and profit goals. Works side-by-side with US Marketing team and Global Wellness team to build US innovation strategies and projects complementary to global and local strategic focus areas.This role requires a balance of long-term strategic vision to identify new innovation growth spaces as well as operational agility to ensure on-time progression of projects to meet approved business cases. While specifically responsible for innovation, this leader is expected to operate with an enterprise perspective to advance pipelines that contribute to Category, BU, and Haleon goals (e.g. sustainability, margin enhancement, channel growth, etc).
As a member of the Innovation Leadership Team, this individual will co-own Innovation team culture and capabilities and must be a role model of winning behaviors including cross-functional collaboration, an adaptive leadership style, high change agility and resilience, a curious and continuous improvement mindset, and a strong bias for action.
