- Experience managing billing for medical practices
- Familiarity with Medicare/ Medicaid guidelines, portals and compliance
- Accounts Receivable/Payable and collections
- Extensive knowledge of insurance claims is required
- Ability to be a team player
- Medical coding and billing experience required
- Communicate with patients regarding inquiries and complaints
- Supervisory and organizational skills
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and EHR management
- Various high-level reporting with the ability to present and interpret results
- Transaction posting
- Exercises good judgment and discretion
- Familiarity with HIPAA privacy requirements for patient information
- Maintains and protects confidential information
- Proficient in use of computers and office equipment
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic understanding of medical billing codes
- Excellent telephone and patient-relation skills
- Detail oriented and ability to prioritize work
- Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues
