    Summary


    The Office Coordinator is responsible for completing various administrative tasks within the Delaware County Office of the Medical Examiner, including, but not limited to, the following.

    Maintain files and records with effective filing systems.

    Prepare payroll biweekly and track time away from work for Medical Examiner staff.


    Prepare Check Requests for payment of bills or expenses; prepare invoices for services rendered; track, credit, and deposit payment of these invoices.

    Successfully handle customer complaints or issues.

    Prepare mailings and letters.

    Assist in vendor relationship management.

    Data entry into various department and county databases such as Moon, SAP, EDRS, etc.


    Assist and direct clients from the outside, answer telephones, relay messages, solve problems, and all other office-related duties with a professional demeanor.

    Prepare and maintain budgets for the Office of the Medical Examiner and manage purchasing and expenditures.

    Develop and report on goal-based performance metrics; foster a culture of quality improvement for continuous improvement.

    Carry out special projects, including planning, implementing, tracking metrics, and reporting on the results of the projects.

    Track certification, continuing education, and credits for compliance with department and County training requirements.

    Manage training schedules and appointments.

    Maintain a sufficient inventory of various supplies and order new equipment as needed.

    Resolve issues with the building and Facilities Department, such as needed maintenance or emergency repairs.

    Perform other duties, tasks, and special projects as required.

    Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience

    Minimum of a High School Diploma.

    Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

    Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles and office management systems and procedures.

    Experience working in a healthcare facility or clinic is strongly preferred.

    Experience in the field of forensic operations is highly preferred.

    Exceptional organizational skills to ensure that quality services are provided.

    Outstanding communication and customer service skills, both in written and verbal communication.

    Strong interpersonal skills.

    Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP.

    Ability to pass a security background check.
